CASE
A 4-year-old female presented to the emergency department (ED) with an acute right elbow deformity following a fall from playground equipment on an extended arm. On physical examination, the patient was alert and cooperative, but she was in obvious pain and guarding her right arm. Swelling and mild ecchymoses were visible at the elbow and distal humerus. The patient held the arm in 20 degrees of flexion and had limited range of motion secondary to guarding and deformity. Neurologic evaluation showed that the anterior interosseous, median, ulnar, and radial nerves were intact. The hand was warm, with brisk capillary refill and symmetric pulses. Radiographs were obtained (Figure 1). What do the images reveal?
