This is JAAPA's medical humanities resource page. The editors and editorial board of JAAPA believe that when PAs take the time to reflect on their professional experiences - and to read and view and discuss the reflections of other medical professionals and patients - the benefits to PAs and to patients are considerable. Such activities can increase PAs' work satisfaction, reducing job stress and burnout. And the medical humanities can help PAs to provide patient-centered care by improving listening skills, increasing empathy, and developing sensitivity to diversity.
